Baking Midterm

Made this Julianna cake for the midterm. The sides are really crap but I like the way the top turned out. :) I tried to do a pattern for the sides but I guess the 2nd color wasn't dark enough to make a real difference at all, so it all looks the same. I got 89/100 which is okay with me cause I know I could have done better if I weren't terrible at cutting layers and if I were a bit more awake. The layers weren't even sizes and after I soaked the first layer in coffee syrup, I completely forgot to soak the other two layers, and I had already covered them in hazelnut and vanilla cream before I realized. o_o So, overall today went well, but it was very exhausting of course.

  1. It's beautiumus! ^.^ That sucks that the side design didn't turn out. But the top is sooo pwetty, so it makes up for it! I wish I had friggin' TITLED my photos that I took in school. I have ton of pictures, but I don't remember what they're all called, so I'm not sure if I ever made a Julianna cake.

Here is a picture of a chocolate ganache cake I did with a white chocolate band on the outside. :)
