So, I got distracted yesterday and forgot to post...
Yesterday was Garde Manger, and we got to make pasta. Which was pretty weird, I guess. You have to roll the dough through the machine like a billion times before it's flat enough to use. xP
Anyways, it was fun because I got to dice up and cook some of the vegetables for the filling for the ravioli we turned it into. We also made two soups that are apparently supposed to be our lunch today. So, I was really happy because one of the soups was a carrot ginger, and it called for vegetable broth! ...But we don't have vegetable broth so we used the ucky chicken. ;-;
Ohhh, well, at least the ravioli and marinara sauce were still good.
Today is Dining Room, which means it's service day... never done this before so I don't know how it'll go. Half of us are front of the house, who I guess have to refill drink orders for old people who came to the buffet or something like that. Then luckily this week I am back of the house. So, I don't know if we are making fresh food or heating up the food we've made this week, but I will soon find out!
